Here now, not in the respective order, are the five most popular dishes that end up on German plates at Christmas:
- Roast goose or duck
Traditionally, such a roast finds its way onto the plate, if you have ordered your goose or duck in good time beforehand. This is usually accompanied by red cabbage (in some regions also called blue cabbage) and dumplings. Whether these are served as Bohemian dumplings, bread dumplings or potato dumplings is up to each family.
