Bidra med feedbackA quaint little restaurant we recently discovered. If you like hot and sour soup, that's definitely the place to get the best of the best in the Yukon! The menu is varied and tasty. Friendly service, and staff opened to constructive criticism.
We were so glad they were open on Sunday! We arrived hungry from Haines and my local Canadian friend was excited about one of her favorite eateries. Seems like most things were fried and breaded. Lots of American type food. Huge menu. I can't eat fried foods so I tried the chicken curry. My friend loved her fried rice, fried ribs, and fried chicken balls. My curry dish did NOT come with rice. Very odd for $21. It did come with some chicken and lots of vegetables! I love curry sauce on rice. There was minimal sauce. My friend shared some rice to soak up the little sauce. Flavor was mild and tolerable with a cornstarch thickened overtone.
Sweet and sour chicken was rock hard, didn't eat it. Chow mein and chicken fried rice was good.
Felt like home cooked Canto dinner. Loved the ma po tofu. It was a pleasant surprise in the middle of nowhere. Super nice owners running shop. Huge portions. It was all I wanted after days of burgers and sandwiches.
Sweet an Sour Pork included no rice. The pork was overcooked and mostly fat and gristle. The sauce had no flavor. The dish was overpriced and only the pork and sauce was included. The steak special was only gristly steak with fries. Pretty good service.
