Cosy place for winter! Good service and food variation!

Based on the reviews score, we considered not trying this out but based on proximity to the apartment, we tried it out anyway. Glad we did as we had a very good meal here with the group. Starting out with the Church Plate to share amongst the group was a good way to start with lots of small options to try for everyone. For the main portion of the meal, we tried the entrecote, duck confit, tuna and the beef plank. All were good but the duck confit and the beef plank really stuck out. The sheer amount of food for the plank was large but the flavor and preparation were also good. For the desserts, the carpenter cake was our favorite option of the three tried. The building is very cool and homey feeling, though the room was fairly loud with the full house. Not a place for a quiet meal but there is a nice energy for going out with a group.

I eat everything and rarely complain, but I was almost retching when I got my main. Waited 20 minutes for drinks to arrive, sat with empty plates for 30 minutes. The staff were pleasant but there aren’t enough of them. I suspect the food is frozen and microwaved. it was just so unappetising. For such a nice location with strong competition around them, I just can’t see this place surviving. I also think it’s pretty expensive in comparison with much better restaurants in the area.

I got a table there at 5 pm. Me and my friends ordered food and drinks. At 6 pm in the middle of the dinner coming a waiter and saying that the table was not booked and we have to leave. It’s just disgusting experience. He was not sorry at all and was screaming to my friend to show sms with booking confirmation. So we had to pay and leave. Could not stay with treatment like this.
