Malins Skafferi - Vaestra Froelunda

This cafe and restaurant, located just a short walk from the inner harbor, is simple yet excellent. We opted to get our meal to go and enjoyed it in the park, but many people come here for their daily lunch.

The restaurant offers a great selection of lunch options at a reasonable price, all within a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

We had been here for lunch. For 109SEK you get one of 5 dishes (fish, meat, sallad, vegeterian, week's special). The most related to the Swedish cuisine or favorite dishes of the Swedes (e.g. Ceasar sallad). I chose the smoked salmon with roe (fish egg) sauce/mayonnaise and cooked pototoes. The salmon tasted great and you will never have the chance to eat that for the same price somewhere in the evening. Romsås (roe sauce) is not my favorite sauce but typical Swedish. The lunch offer includes water, sallad and bread. Unlike usual lunch restaurants they bring the main dish to the table. And in general, the atmosphere is more comfortable than the most other lunch restaurants where I had been. Recommended for Swedish food!

At Malins Skafferi, we consistently enjoy delicious and expertly prepared food. For lunch, there is always a fantastic salad buffet with freshly baked bread, table water, and a cup of coffee and cake for dessert. There are always choices of meat, fish, and a vegetarian option available, as well as one or two extra dishes to select from. The charming atmosphere and genuine environment make it a delightful place to dine, with the added option of sitting in the garden during the warmer months. Malins is a popular choice for many and definitely worth a visit.
