Aaltos - Uppsala

A relaxing restaurant near some of the older parts of uppsala. good atmosphere and nice eating of high quality makes this a great place for groups and couples.

We got a quattro piatti four meal menu and shortly after tasting the first tonno crudo we knew it was a high quality (and a little expensive) Italian restaurant. the only thing I could possibly complain is that the main course contained only two very small lamb slices. this was somewhat disappointing, but the excellent placement of the ordered menu, good reben, company and personal service made this restaurant an excellent choice for the evening.

Quite decent place with a beautiful atmosphere, but I would say that eating is more expensive than what they are worth. risotto frutti di mare wasn't her best dish.

You’ll see from the outside that it’s a bit dull but when you enter, you’re immediately blown away by the warm florescent lights, silverware clinking, and cosy design. I had carbonara pasta for the first time and it was very delicious- something I can’t easily replicate at home. It’s such a simple dish yet breaking open the egg for the yolk to ooze into the cheese-y pasta makes it more than spaghetti, cheese, and egg. I’m happy this is where I had my first carbonara!

We opted for the QUATTRO PIATTI four-course menu, and after tasting the first dish, Tonno Crudo, we immediately recognized that this Italian restaurant was of exceptional quality, albeit on the pricier side. The only minor complaint I have is regarding the main course, Agnello, which featured just two very small slices of lamb. While this was a bit disappointing, the outstanding arrangement of the menu, good wine selection, pleasant company, and attentive service from the staff made this restaurant an excellent choice for our evening.
