Gilly's - The Archipelago

Gilly's has great fish and chips (I'd recommend the perch or the pickerel)! I've been going with family for several years and we keep coming back for a reason. The place itself has a really nice atmosphere but prices have risen in recent years so keep that in mind when you go!

First time here. The comments speak for itself. Delicious food (best fish and chips, mussels and oysters), great service and location. Will definitely be returning soon!

Absolutely love this restaurant! 2021 is the first year that they have been open into the thanksgiving Monday holiday and we were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner as we were not able to get out earlier. We went for the fish and even though they did not have any more Georgian Bay Whitefish, we still enjoyed the pickerel. Very tasty, very well prepared. Escargot was amazing as well as the drinks we enjoyed from the bar. We’ve been coming here for many years and we’ve never been disappointed we always look forward to the the most excellent food and most excellent service. Thanks to Ryan our server tonight and Michel for getting us such a great table our favourite corner booth to watch the boats and the sunset. Due to COVID last year, we still enjoyed the fish and chips and had take out, but, the best is to relax and spend time at the restaurant with friends and family. Thanks again Gilly’s — you made our anniversary and traditional ‘Killbear’ annual dinner very special. See you next year!

This restaurant is absolutely charming and delightful. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed dining on the outdoor patio with its great views. The fish chowder was tasty, the escargot was good, but the pickerel fish and chips stole the show. The fish was perfectly cooked - crunchy on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside, and the chips were amazing. We also appreciated that the patio was dog-friendly. The standout feature of this restaurant is definitely the staff, who were warm, friendly, and genuinely caring towards their customers.

This restaurant provided one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with charm and a smile, immediately making us feel welcomed. We were seated promptly and provided with water, drink orders, and menus without having to wait. The menu was easy to read with prices listed beside each item, allowing us to make our choice comfortably. The wait time for our meal was just right, and the portions were generous and carefully plated, showing that the staff truly cared about the quality of their food. Unlike many restaurants, we were not constantly interrupted during our meal and were able to enjoy it at our own pace. We were given the option for dessert or coffee, which we gladly accepted, and again were able to savor it without feeling rushed. When it came time to pay, we were more than happy to do so, as the entire experience was executed with pride and a smile by all the staff. It was refreshing to be in an environment where the team worked together and genuinely cared about their customers. Thank you to everyone for a fantastic dining experience. We will definitely be returning to try more items from the menu and enjoy the exceptional service once again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area - you won't be disappointed.
