Gauja, Kafejnīca - Riga

This place was shown to me by friends last year and now I often go there to fill my belly with delicious food. Huge portions, great food, large selection of drinks, average prices. Very cosy inside, well-done interior. The back yard is fenced with a high fence, an interesting selection of outdoor furniture.

This is a hidden gem. Incredibly cheap dishes of the day for lunch. Very tasty soup. Pleasant service. Seems to be a popular spot for locals. Strongly recommended.

In a historical bulding, very kind stuff and nice ambiance. soft music, lots of talks. I like thos place.

This is an amazing café/restaurant to try traditional Latvian food. It's also well priced with lots of drink choices. The portions are huge and the prices are great, as it's a small walk from the old town it's less touristy. We really enjoyed walking out to the restaurant and having a delicious lunch. The portions are huge, too. The building is very unassuming with just a small sign so it's a little hard to spot look out for it! We would definitely come back here.
