Siljans Konditori - Leksand

Covid chaos, obvious risk of infection spreading way too many people, warning signs that no one follows and as there was a constant shortage of food cutlery glasses drinks in the lunch buffet, both staff and guests running around each other to get food. No understanding from the responsible staff when complaining strange, it usually works well even though most of the guests were obviously as frustrated as us and others tells similar stories in online reviews that we regret not checking earlier). What saves the rating to 2 instead of 1) is that the food was good once we got it. Also make sure that there is room before you pay for the lunch buffet, because the staff does NOT do it but only lets people in regardless of Covid or seat availability so you have to wait an unreasonably long time to sit down.

Good coffee and great fika. We recommend the Princesstårta to everyone. This is really too good! Very friendly service.

We had a luchbuffet for 100sek. It was lasagne and tasted great. The saladsbar (included) was also excellent. Much recomended

This is a classic place in Leksand and we come here every day when we visit Leksand. True, as some reviewers have noted, this is not quaint looking as places (tourist traps) in bigger cities, but it is friendly and cozy enough. The pastries are delicious but I also like the shrimp sandwich and the lunch buffet. The breakfast with sandwich, coffee, yoghurt and juice for about SEK 55 is a good bargain. Also, lots of seating and good WiFi

I like this cafe and have been visiting many times. It has a nice and personal style. They also serve light meals and have an outside area where you can sit when the weather permits.
