Fantastic goulash soup and delicious waffles with homemade local jam

Very cozy restaurant at the top of the Järvsvängen in åre björnen.

This assessment applies only to evening meals (after the end of skiing). We chose it through the cozy looking pictures of Google Maps and it was not disappointed. We had to run the last 250 meters uphill through the snow, from the last point we could get our car. Usually they need reservations in the evening, but were quickly able to accommodate our unexpected arrival. We were amazed by the wonderful food (all can eat you hot pot (aka fondue chinoise) with a blend of beef, reindeer vegetables) and perfect service (friendly, there if you need it, but not in your face if you don't). A new manager had just begun when we visited (Mar 2019) and he made everything possible to welcome us and enjoy the food. High quality food and service costs, but budget €100 per person to cover everything (less if you don't drink alcohol).

Big hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Warm fire, too.
