Love this restaurant!. I visited last night for dinner with a friend and was not disappointed. I was at X2O on Saturday 10-28-23 with a party of 5 (3 from out of town) to celebrate my birthday. I had told my guests that this is my favorite special occasion restaurant! Unfortunately there was a total lack of service on this date. Our drinks and appetizers came promptly after ordering We ordered the Main Course at the same time! it took over 1 and 1/2 hours to be served our Main Course and this was after I had to call over the Head Waiter to check on our meals!!!! Three Groups around us that arrived after us (one was a party of 8) were served their meals before us!! Even after our meals were served, NO ONE came over to check if everything was OK or if we needed anything.... When the bill arrived I was quite surprised that nothing was comped due to the total lack of attention by the staff. I have dined at this restaurant many times in the past and this is the first time that I have been disappointed. It will be quite awhile before I choose to dine here again!

Underwhelming Experience Despite High Hopes I recently visited X20 in New York to celebrate my mother's birthday, highly recommended by friends and family. We had heard glowing reviews about this place, so my expectations were quite high. Regrettably, our visit didn't live up to the hype. The initial service started well; we were seated promptly, and our drinks and appetizers arrived quickly. The appetizers were delightful, but the real disappointment came when we waited for our main courses. Here's where things took a frustrating turn: tables seated after us and even a larger party that arrived later got their meals ahead of us. We waited for an hour before finally calling over the maitre d' to inquire about our orders. It was disappointing that they hadn't noticed the prolonged wait. When our meals finally arrived, they were, at best, just okay and certainly not worth the extensive delay. What added to our disappointment was that neither the waiter nor the maitre d' returned to check on our dining experience. We were interested in ordering more drinks, but no one came by to ask. To make matters worse, it was challenging to identify our assigned waiter, as multiple staff members attended to us, contributing to the overall disarray. Considering the high praise from our loved ones, our experience at X20 was a letdown. We left feeling frustrated and let down, questioning the reasons for its previous acclaim. Sadly, my mother's birthday dinner didn't meet the standards we had hoped for, and I'm uncertain whether we'll be returning anytime soon.

Every guest is treated to first-class cuisine and outstanding service, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the majestic Hudson River. Dining at X20 is truly a special experience. Simply amazing!

Our drink orders were taken quickly; I chose an Owl's Call, while my husband opted for the HV Spiked Cider. Both drinks were refreshing and delicious. For my appetizer, I had the butternut squash bisque, which was so good it deserves a perfect score of 5. My husband selected the Tuna Tartare. For our main courses, my husband enjoyed the roasted chicken, and I had the glazed salmon. Both dishes were delightful. For dessert, I ordered the almond pound cake, which came with a blueberry compote that added a much-needed moisture to the dense cake. The waitstaff was exceptionally attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and that our water glasses were always full. Overall, if you’re searching for an upscale dining experience with delicious food, beautiful views, and attentive service, X20 is the place to go.
