Thai Basil Cafe - Wollongong

I have been to this restaurant many times over the last decade. The food quality is consistently excellent and the prices are always affordable. The staff is friendly and the service is usually fast. It may not be the most trendy place to visit, but the flavors surpass most other Thai restaurants in the area.

I go here weekly sometimes more, the people are so nice, food is always incredible, you never have to wait more then 15 mins, food is around $10 a main and free byo! I recommend their laksa, massamun beef, hoy jo starters, green curry, nam...tok beef (good to share between two to start) and pad see ew! You won't be disappointed by this authentic experience!!!

This cafe, which allows you to bring your own drinks, offers excellent food at very reasonable prices. The portions are generous and the staff is friendly and efficient. While it may not be the best choice for a special occasion, it is a good place to eat. We will definitely be returning.

The service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. I have never experienced such a frustrating situation before, but this restaurant truly deserves this review. I placed an order through Menulog, and the food arrived almost 2 hours late, cold, and incorrect. When I contacted Menulog to report the issue, Thai Basil claimed that they were late because my contact information was wrong and they couldn't reach me. However, I live in an apartment complex and the delivery instructions clearly stated to ring my unit number or call my phone. I provided screenshots as proof, but despite Menulog's assistance, Thai Basil refused to compensate for the botched $100 order. There are plenty of other dining options in the area, so I strongly advise against wasting your money here. It's disappointing that a company would mistreat customers in this way and then deny any responsibility.

This is the best thai in wollongong. curry puffs, pad thai and everything else is great. owners are Thai and very friendly. you have to come.
