Akari Japanese Cuisine - Wollongong

I absolutely adore this restaurant. I have visited on New Year's Eve twice, and the second time I was even proposed to here! The food here is of exceptional quality and every dish is delicious. Although the portion sizes are slightly smaller than average, it just means you can sample more dishes. The carpaccio is particularly outstanding.

The atmosphere is cosy with a lovely courtyard when the doors are open. The lighting is just right, creating a relaxed ambiance. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable.

Excellent eating. our fried chicken, seaweedsalat and raw fish dishes were delicious. wein and beer also good.
