Bidra med feedbackI have been to this restaurant three times on different occasions - during happy hour with friends, late at night after a work event, and before a Jets playoff game. The best service I received was when the restaurant was busy before the game, and I was able to easily get a drink from the beer tub. However, overall, the service can be slow, and there have been instances where the wrong drink was brought to my friend and it took a long time for the correct one to be brought. I cannot comment on the food as I have never eaten here.
The staff at the Manitoba Tourism office suggested the Shark Club as one of the best places to watch the play-offs. This was our second night in Winnipeg but the first one spent downtown during the famous White Out. We got seats early, actually very...early, so we killed time by going to the casino area inside. The service in the bar and casino was excellent! Absolutely the best place to watch any game!! We loved the intimate booth with our own tv, but also because we were close to action! We ordered nachos first and then the poutine between periods. The portions are generous and great for sharing! Craft beer was on special, and although our waitress wasn’t as knowledgeable about beers on tap, we were happy with our choices.
We ended up here during the playoff game during a White Out and the whole place was full of people in Jets jerseys and T-shirts. The whole vibe was very fun and enthusiastic during the game. We liked the drinks so much we went back...a second night before leaving town.
Dined at Shark for a work function before the game. Started with copious amounts of appetizers. Fried pickles, shark bites, double cheese nachos, chicken tenders, wings and sliders. All very good. The nachos are loaded with toppings. The wings come in variety of great flavors...and are very good. The sliders taste as if they're from your favorite burger joint. Some many great appetizers to choose from it's hard to go wrong. Felt like I was going to burst after all the appetizers but ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich for dinner. It's my go-to at Shark Club and it didn't disappoint. Our group received perfect service while we were there. Will be back soon.
Was downtown for a business lunch with some colleagues who wanted to head to the Shark Club for lunch. We arrived at to a bustling restaurant filled with lunch customers. We were fortunate to get a recently vacated table. The waitress was quick to...offer to clear and wipe the table for us and promptly made good on her promise. The menu had is filled with typical beverage house fare. After some contemplation I opted for the Cajun chicken burger with a side of onion rings. The food came out promptly however was a large disappointment. The Cajun chicken was flavourless and certainly not spicy. The onion rings paring tasted as though they we either frozen or were cooked in an under temperature deep and were stale and oily tasting, I didn’t finish them. Overall the experience was underwhelming and for with a soda water I’d likely have enjoyed a better meal for half the price in the food court at City Place.
