Not eating here again : . We thought would try something new and close to home. Saw all the bad reviews, but figured it may not be that bad...sadly, it was. The food: We both ordered the beef roti, rice and beans, curried veggies. The roti, the shell was dry, the beef was tender and actually good, the other fillings we tastless chickpea/potato The veggies were soggy mushy and you can notice they were frozen from a bag not fresh. The rice and beans were so dry and hard. We couldn't even eat them : The atmosphere/service: Extremely cold inside the temperature , we actually had to wear our winter jackets. The server/cook didn't even dirty one pan from the looks of it. We did however hear the microwave beeping before our food came out. Overall: Will never come here again. I have had really good Caribbean food before and this is an embarrassment to Caribbean cuisine.

Fantastic and authentic Caribbean cuisine.. Best soul-food place in Winnipeg, hands down. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful, he assisted us in choosing a number of menu items. Likely the best Rotti I've had in Winnipeg, awesome Doubles. I've been here 20+ times now, never once have I been let down.

Will hold me over until my next Jamaican vacation. Tried Doubles for the first time and I have been converted. I had the Curried Goat which was very good and my wife had the Jerk Chicken which was fantastic. You will not leave hungry!

Fantastic Food. Went here for the first time with 2 guests from Ontario one a Jamaican living in Canada.Had jerk chicken, jerk pork, and curry chicken. I thought it was the best Jamaican food I've eaten outside of Jamaica. Will definitely be going back. Recommended by four people who know Jamaican food.

So glad we didn't listen to the previous reviews!. We were skeptical to try Joyce C Kewley's because of the recent reviews but am I glad we didn't listen to them. When we arrived we were greeted promptly by a very friendly serving person. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu items and answered all of the questions we had. Once we placed our order with her our food arrived within 15 minutes, so not a long wait at all. Everything was as we had ordered and the food was absolutely delicious! I had the Chicken Roti with Plaintains as a side dish and my husband ordered the box special with the Jerk chicken, rice and Calaloo. I tasted his meal as well and it was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back and are so pleased there is such a tasty Caribbean restaurant right in our neighborhood.
