Great World Restaurant - Winnipeg

Great The best I’ve eaten in Winnipeg serious I’ve been looking for a good Chinese food in Winnipeg for 30 years and I found this gem which is the only place I will go now to buy my food. The breaded veal is so good that I need to place 2 3 orders of it because I usually eat one just coming back home and I’ve never had a bad dish from there I’ve eaten there twice and I’m craving it now just talking about it so I’ll probably end up going there tonight but great you guys have to try it it’s it’s to die for really

Great food at a good price. Hands down Great World is our favorite for chinese dining! This plain and small restaurant serves up delicious Szechuan Sesame Chicken, Ginger Beef Deep Fried Won Tons... to name a few favorites! If you are looking for fancy this is not the place for you.. however if you like excellent cooking, great service and a family atmosphere.. this is the place for you!

I always order food from Great World, it's always fresh and tasty, I have tried other Chinese food places and it never compared. They put a lot of pride in there cooking and are so friendly.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in wpg hands down! Go for the hot honey garlic chicken it's delicious! There spring rolls are yummy too!

Can be quite good if you know what to order!. Great World has been our go to for Chinese take out for years, and has also been very enjoyable upon visits to the actual restaurant as well. I find the quality varies drastically depending on what is ordered with some clear hits and misses on the menu. <br/ <br/ Hits have included: Squid in 5 Spice Salt tender and tasty), Beef with Pea Pods beef is tender, peas are done right and sauce is flavourful), Hot Honey Garlic Chicken, Deluxe Wonton Soup good variety of bbq'd beef, shrimp, chicken, veggies and wontons a favourite for ordering when I have a cold), and Lemon Chicken very generous portion size, may be a little too sweet for some people though), Breaded Veal with Vegetables tender veal with veggies and a tasty sauce) and Great World Special Chow Mein nice variety of bbq'd pork, chicken, veggies and noodles sometimes this one can be a tad greasy, depending on who's making it that day I guess).<br/ <br/ Misses: Chicken Fried Rice rice topped with shredded sandwich meat), Honey Garlic Chicken Balls though these are great if you remember to order the sauce on the side if you get them delivered they've turned soggy by the time they get to you if not), Sate Chicken I'm probably biased having been to Indonesia, but their sate tasted nothing like I expected), chop suey bland).<br/ <br/ Mostly I find Great World to be on par or better than other Chinese take out options. As with most places with such extensive menus, it's about mining out the good stuff.
