Wahlburgers - West Des Moines

NEVER AGAIN!! I ordered to go. They made our food and forgot our shake and rootbeer float, so we had to wait another 5+ minutes for them to make them and bring them to us. We tried to eat this food in the car, bc we had somewhere to be so we didn 't turn back to return the horrible meal . This was my first and last visit to Wahlburgers. Overly greasy unseasoned burgers. Somehow my Big cheese burger that I requested to have no tomatos had tomatoes and 2 random mushrooms that dont even go on the burger. Fries were cold tasted stale. Sweet tators soggy and greasy. Shake was okay at best. Rootbeer float had what tasted like great value ice cream. Got a stomach ache within 20 minutes of eating 2 fries and less than half a burger. All in all we paid about $50 to have upset stomachs and uneaten food. I waited until I got back in the house to take the photo as you can see the receipt is from 7:12pm today and the photo was taken at 9:12pm today and less than half of the food is gone. If you want a photo of inside of my trash can you 'll see the rootbeer float and my husband 's burger, but I 'm not going to go in the trash to take a photo. Just horrible I need more than a refund for this atrocious experience.

Typically love this place their burgers are amazing and the service is usually too! Tonight was not the case. My fiancé and I sat at the bar and ordered two burgers they asked us what temp we would like them at and we both said medium well. Mine came back slightly more pink but I figured it was fine. My fiancés burger which is pictured below came significantly more pink. When I told the server, Amanda G, that it was just too pink for us we were met with ?well that?s our version of medium well?. She said she could have them good it well done instead if that is what we meant. We were met with attitude and zero understanding. They remade my fiancés burger ?well done? and we took it To go. Certainly hope they do better next time this visit was not their usual service. Update: not even 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant both my fiancé and I are feeling sick

While working in Iowa this month, we were surprised to discover a Wahlburgers Restaurant near our hotel. Intrigued by their popular TV show, we decided to give it a try for lunch. Despite anticipating a lunch rush at 12:30, the restaurant was nearly empty, a concerning sign. The atmosphere was lackluster, with only one server attending to the few occupied tables. The menu was quite limited, but we opted for 2 Jenn's chicken sandwiches with a healthier side of Brussel sprouts and kale slaw. However, the slaw did not contain any kale or Brussel sprouts, resembling regular cabbage slaw instead. My husband's side garden salad, for an additional cost, was disappointing, consisting of just iceberg lettuce, carrots, and cucumber. The chicken sandwiches were smaller than expected, though tasty when the excess bread was removed to reveal the sauce's flavor. It seems that Wahlburgers should implement quality control measures, as our experience did not live up to their standards. Viewing photos of the menu online later, we realized that our food bore no resemblance to the advertised dishes. Ultimately, we left feeling disappointed and will not be returning to any Wahlburgers locations after spending almost $40 on a subpar meal.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server went above and beyond by allowing my kids to order for themselves and helping my mother-in-law navigate her dietary restrictions. The bathrooms were also exceptionally clean. We were very pleased with our experience. Keep up the good work!

The food at this restaurant is delicious and affordably priced. There are plenty of delicious options, not just burgers, but also tasty chicken sandwiches, salads, and sides. Unfortunately, the service was lacking during our visit, but they did comp our appetizers, showing they care about customer satisfaction. Despite our negative experience and observing other tables with similar issues, I would still recommend giving this place a try. Just be prepared for potentially slower service.
