Bidra med feedbackGreat BBQ! We had pork steak and turkey, both were really good. Sides good but baked beans were spicy hot and slaw was a little sour. Very clean, great atmosphere and good service. You can dine in or carry out. You can also carry food over next door to Stubborn German, a bar that sells beer.
Excellent bbq spot located in the heart of Waterloo. They have a relatively small menu but looks like that’s all they need. The place seems to be popular at all hours. Basically you get to pick from a turkey, brisket or pork sandwich, or meat a la cart like the ribs too. Several sides to pick from, I really liked the potato salad. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to a first time visitor. I tried the 1/4 lb turkey sandwich with the extra turkey. That really hits the spot, plenty filling and for a bbq spot the pricing is very fair and spot on. While they do not have room for outdoor seating there is plenty to pick from inside. The inside of the restaurant has a fun and eclectic decoration. Lots of movie posters and good music. They do have a fridge for to go items and merchandise such as sauces, rubs, shirts, charcoal and more. So if you bbq kinda person, I’d say this worth a try.
The BBQ was dry and over cooked both times we went there and the potato salad was just chopped up potatoes with no taste or style. Some people must like it because it does decent business but it's doesn't suite my tastes. I like creamy potato salad and moist meats with sauce to enhance the flavor.
Fantastic barbecue in a great themed atmosphere. The brisket was perfectly tender. The baked beans were great. The person at counter, the owner, was fun and chatty. Go there if in Waterloo and make special trip if not. Cool town.
Absolutely fantastic!!We had the pulled pork and Gouda Mac-N-cheese both were out of this world. The pulled pork left me speechless for a moment, that good
