Bidra med feedbackThis location is a lot smaller than the others and we were a bit confused regarding seating. We were told that seating was first come first served (self seating). We ordered our food and just waited for a table to open up. The food overall was really good. I would recommend a host for busy days like Sundays especially when most people are out for brunch.
Cozy, clean, a little loud due to being right on a busy road, but great food and great staff. Friendly, helpful, and the food is amazing. We (4) shared the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Fried Fish Sandwich, Rumchata French Toast, and a Blueberry Cobbler Cheesecake dessert. Good soft drinks (Coca-Cola machine) and good coffee. This place is a gem.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food selection was great and our meals came out quickly. We got the Rumchata French toast, which was fluffy and delicious, but the star was the shrimp and grits. I cannot sing enough praises for this dish. It was so creamy, so flavorful, and more than enough food to share or for leftovers. It was absolutely worth every penny. The staff were wonderful and we will definitely be returning.
My food from Milk Honey Cafe on H Street in Washington, DC was the BOMB! I’m talking about Super Freakin Delicious. The fish was fried to perfection, the cheesy grits were so darn good. And that honey butter biscuit was to die for! So darn good, and decent portion!! I had my food delivered, but now I can’t wait to actually dine in.
I absolutely love Milk and Honey! My go-to dish is the smothered chicken biscuit, and it never disappoints. My friend tried the blackened salmon with grits, which looked great as well. The only surprise for me was the size of the place. I've visited frequently, and there's usually someone to seat you. However, it seems that some photos from the neighboring restaurant have been mixed in with this review. Just a heads-up: the word "cafe" suggests a coffee shop vibe, so be prepared to find a seat for yourself or your group.
