Caruso's Grocery Dc - Washington

One of if not the best classic italian in washington D.C

Service and food were great!!! The only issue is that our reservation was for 7:30 and they sat us on our table at almost 8pm everything else was great and can’t wait to return!

Had the veal and chicken parmigiana, soo sooo sooooo good! 12 out of 10! But they need to get rid of the sundae ,,, because it was too sweet. Great place for a date!

Caruso’s is fantastic and I’ve been back multiple times. However, most recently I had a poor experience in which we got asked to leave our table as soon as we finished our food (and we had ordered a ton of food, drinks, and dessert). We had barely gotten two minutes to keep chatting after they took away our dessert and they asked us if we could leave the table. I understand the restaurant gets busy and over-bookings happen, but it felt quite rude for a restaurant of this caliber. It does make me think twice about coming back again in the future.

As always Caruso’s is the BEST! Get the espresso martini, garlic bread and crema brusciata!!! The pasta is amazing and large portions!
