Borghi Dal 1949 - VOLTERRA

After spending the day in Siena, on our way home we popped in to Volterra for a look around and came upon this amazing establishment. The place is spotless, modern and welcoming as are the people who work there. The menu was varied and had good choices and we all chose different (5 of us) and everything was excellent. We can’t wait to visit again and can’t recommend this place enough and also very good value for money

We popped in here by accident shortly after arriving in Volterra mid afternoon. After a long drive from Milan, my boyfriend and I were hungry and in need of a quick beverage! This caught our eye with counters full of meats and cheese and bottles of local wine covering the walls. We had two glasses of Prosecco and a tagliere of salami for two and paid a mere €10. The owners were very welcoming and friendly when we asked information about restaurants and sight seeing and were kind enough to charge my phone. Is a perfect little place to stop for a snack and good glass of local wine.

Enjoyed good glass of Brunello with some truffel based appetisers. Great discovery! Bought some pecorino with truffle to Enjoy at home ..
