Duffer's Chuckwagon - Tweed

Good burgers, tasty gravy and although the fries are fresh cut they lack flavour unless smothered in their gravy. Not a huge fan but would eat their food again if I was hungry and wanted food truck fare. A bit pricey for me with a...large fries, without gravy, being and not that large!

Duffers Chip Wagon Travels to quite a few special events locations. for the most part they are parked in Tweed Memorial Park. They have quite an extensive menu.The service is fast, courteous and the food is yummy. The prices are pretty good and will not break the bank. The milkshakes are awesome and the ice cream is a pretty good sized scoop. No matter where you see their truck,,,you will find, healthy, quality and quantity at a good price. The staff is always friendly and make you want to come back time and time again.

Great eating and friendly, attentive staff. it is worth stopping when they travel to the north on the autobahn.

As a retired chef, I am always honest in my reviews. I typically give credit where it is due and am not afraid to point out areas for improvement. While I don't usually stop at chip trucks, a recent visit to Bobcaygeon, Ontario with my family led us to Grandma Grandpa's bright blue and white French Fry truck. Despite the lack of crowds, our order was quickly prepared and served. Unfortunately, it became apparent upon tasting the fries that they had been pre-cooked hours in advance and were a mix of overcooked and undercooked pieces. The oil also had a burnt fish flavor, indicating that the fries were not fresh. Mixing old and fresh fries is a fast food sin, and selling a product of this quality is unacceptable.

We had dinner while staying in Tweed. The food quality was decent but not outstanding. The service was slow, especially considering there were very few customers at the time.
