The Port Bistro Pub - Trenton

We used to go to this restaurant often years ago as it was a classy place to eat but since then, has got much worse over time. We ordered a few appetizers and they came about 25 minutes later while our entrees weren't even brought out until we had to leave almost an hour and half after being seated. The cheese plate was good but a bit over priced for only having blue cheese as the most exotic cheese on there. The garlic feta cheese bake was actually really good, although a few more than just 6 slices of naan bread would have been beneficial for a lot of dip provided. The Tower nachos are not worth the 30 minute wait. The chips were drenched in oil, too salty and the bottom layer was all crumbs. My friend's mojito took a solid 15 minutes to come out when the bartender didn't look like he was busy at all except to pour some beers.We then waited another 30 minutes before the server told us our entrees were on the way. We had to leave and asked to have them packed to go. Little did we know that the price we paid for our food would come with so many issues later on. The crispy chicken sandwich tasted fairly good, except for the fact that it was HALF A CHICKEN BREAST. They fried a whole breast, cut it in half down the center and plated it. I got half, my friend got the other half. NOT WORTH THE $14. The house slaw was enough to fill one spoon and no more and the fries were over salted and over done. My friend ordered the veggie mac and cheese and was asked if she would like to have bacon on it and she said she is vegetarian and thus doesn't want it. HOWEVER, her side kale salad came with bacon on it.In short, terrible service, long wait times, over priced food and they cut corners wherever they can. I would avoid again...

We sat on the patio, was nice but cool, bring a sweater. We started with the tower of nachos ( allow 30 mins to prepare) they were yummy and the pico is to die for! I wish I got a picture. Meals were very good and you can have anything from pub food to more upscale cuisine. I had the bacon wrapped stuffed with feta chicken. It was really good. Others had wings and chicken sandwich. No one complained about their meal. Service was excellent when we first arrived at 6:30 pm but soon felt like we were forgotten once it got a bit busier. Took forever to get our meals and refills of beer and wine. Seemed others were in the same situation. We could have had at least two more drinks before dinner arrived but no one came back to ask and we didn't even see her to wave her down. All in all I'd go again.

Great, quant location, cozy atmosphere. We sat outside & had a nice view & friendly server. Before ordering we were told they were out of at least 4-5 items, not what you want to hear when first sitting down to order. We then decided on nachos, but then we were told they were out of those too. Contacted them thru Facebook later and they promptly replied back with apologies. We all have bad days & things happen. I have worked in hospitality and know first hand things cannot always be controlled. Either way, may return, may not.

Stopped in for dinner on a busy Friday. Dining on the patio was very pleasant. Service was very goodand our server was pleasant. There is a decent variety of beer and wine on the bar menu. We had the burger and it was delivious.

Superb location with tables right on the waterfront. Good food, great service and some cracking beers.
