Bidra med feedbackThe first time here and I'm so glad I came! We ordered about 6 different dishes plus appetizers and honestly, I couldn't get my mind what I liked best. To top it off, the service is excellent! We'll make sure we stop here every time I fit thru. You are located in the area of Playas in Tijuana, next to the toll road to Rosarito.
To be honest this place can be one of the TOP restaurants in Tijuana food wise, the only thing missing is a nice, clean ambience, still I go there every 15 days more less because their sushi is so good!! So if you set aside...the surroundings this place will surprise you.
Small, kinda frumpy looking place. No ac. Looks at first glance like nothing special. Looks are deceiving though. Chefs were from Southern California and make sushi that would be good for even LA... though they did have to conform somewhat to local tastes. Reasonable, (not...cheap) prices. Tempura might have been a little soggy.
The sushi is amazing and prices are accesible. Sit in the sushi bar and let the chef take you on the best japanese experience.
We are global food, but have particularly high standards for sushi, lived in Japan and San Francisco. Koi Sushi is naturally fresh. Nigiri is authentic in its proportions and garnish: onagi, saba, maguro, Rolls were tenderly entangled and economical with sauces such as spider... and dragon rolls. All expected tsukemono were there: Takuan, Gari, “Salat” etc. Hot Saki was good enough quality. Desert was banana tempura, okay. We'll be back in January.
