Bidra med feedbackDuring our stay at the nearby Daintree Rainforest Retreat Motel, we discovered the Crocodylus Croc Cafe as a great option for breakfast. As a backpacker's accommodation, the menu options were limited but we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious vegetarian breakfast and espresso coffee served in a Harry Potter themed mug. Despite the presence of mosquitoes, which is typical in the Daintree area, the backpacker staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, a satisfying breakfast experience in a unique setting.
We probably wouldn't have chosen to eat at this restaurant if we hadn't been staying overnight, but I'm grateful that we did. The restaurant is very environmentally friendly and serves healthy food in a beautiful, relaxed rainforest setting. Even the meat-lovers in my family enjoyed their Veggie dinner, and we all loved the delicious breakfast the next morning. I was impressed that all of our dietary restrictions were accommodated with ease. We also had a great time bonding over pool and darts under the starry sky. Overall, the glamping kitchen experience was the best.
Parking at night was very difficult, but Crocodylus allows outdoor dining. The staff were very helpful, especially with our gluten issues. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the décor was lovely. They even had a free BBQ with its own pottaroo. I would definitely return.
Despair for a coffee and something to eat we arrived here. we ordered 4 roasted ham and cheese sandwiches, 2 coffees and 2 milkshakes. it had to be the worse sandwiches we had ever had, with a strange piece of black plastic in one of...they were made with funny tasting milk and very little syrup, the coffee weak teller water. the host, however, was very knowledgeable about the opposite, but obviously cheap backpacker staff and she could not be anywhere at once.
A rustic, outdoor setting which is at back of the Crocodylus accomodation in Cow Bay. The menu has plenty of choice and the servings are very very generous. Very good value for money. We had one Coeliac and one vegetarian in our family so it...was great to see so many options. A good stop, for lunch when heading to Cape Stribulation.
