Martyr's - Taos

An oasis near The Plaza. Locally recommended, Martyr's has a chill outdoor patio. Service can be a bit slow, but it's a perfect spot to relax after exploring the area. Happy Hour drinks 3-6 weekdays, including $4 IPA. Lunch til 4. Chicken pita is delicious, served openfaced with veggies and a green sauce. Steak frites pair small crisp fries with savory steak in green peppercorn sauce. Free parking lot too. Recommended.

Very impressed with service, drinks and food. The chicken was absolutely amazing and perfectly cooked. My picky eater of a 9 year old loved it and she ordered her own our second visit. That is saying something.

Had great 4th of July meal on the patio. Prices, service and food quality all 5 star. We randomly chose this place for proximity to Kit Carson Park to hear the music. Old Fashion cocktail was exceptional. My $14 half roast chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked. My wife's salmon was superb. I love it when a random walk in choice turns out to be exceptional!

Best restaurant in Taos...maybe the best mussels in the world. These little filter feeders came a long way to be in this amazing green chili broth. Forget butter and white wine, forget tomatoes and garlic, green chili broth with mussels is the best!!!! Wow!! Worth the 2.5 hour drive from ABQ.
