Bidra med feedbackThe food that got to our table was good. However, they were out of a whole dish (the chupe de camarones), they were out of potatoes, and they said the Brussel sprouts came with a huancaina sauce, but it came with something that is not a traditional huancaina sauce. In addition, they were out of the chicha morada drink, which is the main reason we went to this restaurant. Overall, the food that came was good, but other than not, not a great experience.
My girlfriend and I stopped in for dinner here on 2/10 for her birthday. My goodness! This place was unbelievably quaint, extremely intimate and pumped out some of the best food we have ever had. Ceviche was knock your socks off good. She had the Paella which revealed more delicious seafood with every bite. I enjoyed the ribeye thoroughly and that corn pudding is the most delicious thing I have eaten in the past calendar year. Absolutely top notch. Hats off to all involved at this establishment.
Such a nice dinner! Service was friendly and attentive. Recommendations were spot on and our cocktails and dinner were delicious!
Alright dining experience. We likely came on a busier than usual night. Wait staff was kind and attentive but fully backed up. Calling directly for a reservation is recommended. Street Ceviche was good and picante. The Aji Burger was solid but nothing too special. The fried plantains were good. The side room with the cool leather tables and woven seats was freezing. All seated in this room asked for the stove to be turned on. Thankfully it was turned on after we asked, but heating a room takes time. I recommend the staff consider this for busy nights.
I have been anticipating to come here for a very long time... but it was really a let down. I'm not sure about the locals, but by my experience growing up in a Peruvian household it was not authentic. There weren't many options on the menu, not all of it is necessarily typical Peruvian food. The food was okay. I had the Paella, which was basically spanish rice, mixed with a little bit of calamari, and four oysters. Seems like something I could make at home. The little thing of aji (chopped onion, tomatoes, lemon, etc. Was not as flavorful, but definitely added to the dish. As far as the presentation, the plate with the cloth and skillet looked nice and neat. The food itself was not presented in an impressive way but it was organized. Got the passion fruit cheesecake, it was good. My mom asked for one too, never ended up getting it. Dad got flan, it was forgotten about and we were not willing to wait for it so he got cheesecake too. Little bit of communication issuses... The restaurant was pretty empty, there was just a couple there. Very clean place, loved the decor, the art works. It was somewhat of an open concept design, since the kitchen was visible from my table. Customer service was fast, and wonderful. The waitress was very nice. Overall, my visit was exceptional. One thing I would like to add for those coming here in the future, is to make a reservation ahead of time, and to confirm it the day of going. Just because the restaurant isn't busy does not change the fact that reservations are needed.
