The opening hours and menus are subject to change, but on Saturdays, they often host a folk band alongside a pay-what-you-can vegan meal option. Born and raised in Stockholm, Kafe 44 have always been a part of my life, whatever its a friends band playing or checking out the library, its always been amazing to have so many good and delicious vegan food dishes here for such a good price. Whatever you live here or are just here for the weekend, Kafe 44 is a must stop.
We had the freedom burger, taco chili, chocolate tart, and sea bar . It was delicious !!! The cafe is right past the bookstore .
EDIT 2019: My another visit after 6 years was great again delicious burgers and vegan semlor (it is like a heaven in the mouth). Everything at great prices, kind staff. The potatoes as a side-dish were a bit burnt. There is a great decoration, especially a piece of Danuta Danielsson. On Sunday we have read the opening times for weekdays (claimed to open at 9AM) in their menu but it was still closed when we visited the day after. : Accepts credit cards and cash. I think Cafe 44 is great! Cheap, great food, good staff, such a cosy and welcoming venue.
Nice staff, affordable prices and the place has a good vibe!
