Bidra med feedbackGreat 5-star experience. Most impressive was the wine pairing all local Napa wines and they were all perfectly paired with the food Loved the white asparagus, the grilled duck and the Snake River Farm way steak. Having said that, I found the first two appetizers a bit too salty for me. Michelin One-star worthy. Great ambience and impeccable service. Went with the 7-course $1,500+ tasting menu for three (2 with wine pairing).
Always a delight the seasonal menu is ever changing. Staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Since this was my birthday dinner present we got a few kitchen extras. We opted for the tasting menu and wine pairing. Everything was elegantly presented and tasty. The sommelier gave us as much background as we wanted and when I wasn’t as fond of one of the pairings gave me another option which I appreciated.
I got their Black White tasting menu back in January which was truffle themed. The lanterne pasta was mouthwatering and the eye of ribeye was cooked so well and was served with a very delectable truffle jus. I added on the caviar pretzel for an additional price and it was perfection. I loved how even the dessert had truffle on it. The vibe of this restaurant was like no other, it’s so classy and the big clock from an old train station is such a stunning piece. I think Press will be a wine country staple for me.
Food good but ordered off Ala carte menu which was very limited and portion size was embarrassing. Manager cut some off check but bottom line is they should tell customers that portion size is beyond tiny. Offensive. We went for burgers after a meal that cost over $100 PP. service strong.
Press is a far cry from other notable restaurants in the area and incredibly disappointing. The minute portions and extreme price tag of $1400 for two, left us hungry and speechless. The name Press should be changed to Price. The overly prepared and doctored cuisine was more worthy of an art fair than a fine dining restaurant experience. Even the top Michelin restaurants in Paris or London of similar pricing offer a more satisfying meal. All of our party of 6 were incredibly disappointed and will not be returning. We had been forewarned about how poor it was, but we thought we’d give it a try. Big mistake! Huge
