Cat's Caboose Tavern - St. Catharines

My man and I went to the first time tonight, as recommended by a local wine shop staff. the food was excellent, the drinks too, but we had to wait a bit to be served. we have a bit forward...research online catscaboose.ca mostly to get the address so that we know where we wanted and, unknown, the website that we checked was not their website. it advertised specials that a Wednesday special of pizza and wing 8 discs 1 liter wing for 18.99 as the price was so good, we did not hesitate to order. when the bill came, we were charged 22.99. when we asked the price difference in, we were told from 1 to the server, 2 to the manager and 3 to the owner that the online quoted prices are not their prices that there is someone else website and they are not responsible for the content. also the wings as with carrots and celery sticks come quite standard about us, but there were no carrots or celery sticks. we have proposed to them to adjust prices as misleading. the owner who was quite rude said it wasn't her problem. we will not go back and tell him so insecure. my man worked for many, many years in customer service and, as far as we are concerned, that was the worst customer service we have ever experienced. in the rule, the management will meet the lower price to appease the customer. not this type!

The place was packed, so I thought that was a good sign, but eating was disappointing. the pizzas had no sauce. maybe a teaspoon sauce spreads out on a 6 slices pizza. I was like that, and my daughter too.

I have been to this restaurant on several occasions over the years. Food was great and service was usually good too. However after my latest experience I will never enter this restaurant and will gladly tell everyone how disgusting and aggressive the owner was toward...myself and our group. He was rude regarding signing in and impatient and condescending. He became upset because my friends were not sitting down at the table fast enough for his liking. When I tried to talk to him he was ignorant and told myself and my child to leave. I was appalled by his behaviour. Very angry man!!! In this Covid 19 climate where businesses are struggling you would think he would be pleased to have a larger group patronizing his establisment. Rather we were an annoyance to him. As an individual who has worked in the service industry for years I was appalled. Never, even towards the rudest customer, woukd I embarass and degrade others in that manner. I suggest that this man re assess his career choice and attend anger management classes.

Last night I ordered and picked up food from Cat's cabbose. The service was great and the food was fantastic. So enjoy your usual treats. From ordering to eating last night was 30 minutes. Great service.

This is a place where everyone knows your name!!! We have been patrons of Cat’s for over a year now. Service is amazing and personalized. Staffed properly ensuring prompt and quality service. Great band selection!!! Owner and staff are friendly and attentive!!! Food is always...fresh with consistent quality.
