The hamachi kama (5 stars) and yellowtail jalapeno (5 stars) in the first course were not disappointed. both the presentation and the taste were excellent. the second cursor was the ground of an ASIAN restaurant, which was miso suppe (1 star) and fried reis (1 star). the baked rice had no sweetness?! it was a spoon fried in soy sauce! the miso suppe looked like dish water with stains of tofu and scalions. it had 1 piece seetang the size a letter mark. both were not possible. the third cure was sashimi tuna toro (1 star) and uni (1 star) uni was two dimen sizes of sea urchin in two gurken bechers. the gurke had more taste than the uni. the uni was not sweet or creamy as custard! the most shocking of all was the tuna toro who was three discs of how big red gum folded out. the color was too red and there was no fat taste. the sashimi on the photos of open table and Ginza websites did not look like one of the sashimi I was served.
Didn't hold the reservations that I made a week and a half in advance. Line was out the door and treated everyone like they didn't have a reservation.
Theyhelped us Celebrate my daughters birthday ash’s treated our large part wonderfully. Their tuna pizza rivals the bougie version at Catch LA Ana even beats it. Delicious!
We went for the first time on Vday and likely our biggest mistake. They use OT but don’t shutdown reservations when they are full so everyone had a reservation and we had to wait 30+ min for a table and 30+ min for food. They prioritize to go meals before eat in customers. I saw people waiting for food at the door get taken care of way faster than us. Likely in the future only use them for take out. The restaurant is not setup to support lots of people waiting and the hostess was the owner and ran around like a mad woman dealing with everything. Food wasn’t bad but wasn’t worth the wait/commotion.
