The Parrot Patio Grill - Sarasota

I regularly go to The Parrot on a weekly basis... since it is close by, usually great service and food. A friend and I walked in this Friday night, (usually don 't go on the weekends) and helped our selves to a table on the patio. Shortly after we were barked at by a young hostess that informed us that we were not to help ourselves to a table... . Now again I have been coming here for about a year, always have walked in and helped myself... never questioned... until tonight. Okay... I get it, it 's a Friday night, so we asked her if we had inadvertently taken some ones table and were willing to get up and wait our turn. This young hostess was again extremely rude to us. Wow. I was more than willing to wait my turn, even though I have never had to over the past 12 months... but after being treated with such disrespect, I choose to just leave and take my money else where. Treat your customers with respect if you want them to return. There are way too many options to be treated like ****!

Ate here several times, but not recently. The food was always very good, service was adequate, and the prices were OK.

Tuesday, October 24th, 4:00, I wanted to sit at the outside bar. The bartender didn't acknowledge I was sitting there. She approached me, grabbed a bottle, walked away from me to put it in the refrigerator, then started talking with customers that had already been served. The strange thing is, on Saturday, I witnessed the lady that is the owner bust her butt to help the place run smoothly. Today, I ate at the inside bar and she received a 30% tip. Thank you Lana!

My experiences at this restaurant and bar has been phenomenal every time (4 . Service has been fantastic! Food fresh and delicious! Prices reasonable! Location is very convenient and accessible. Try parmesan crusted chicken which was recommended by Chris, bar manager, it was prepared perfectly with two sides. Yummy! Service: 5 Location: 5
