Runway Grill At The Holiday Inn Sarasota Airport

We had finally made it to the hotel on our second night of the trip, and it was nice to see the hotel had a restaurant in it. They had a pretty decent menu to choose from, I chose the bacon wrapped meatloaf that night, and it was really good. The best part was that it was delivered to the room in about 10 minutes. Prices were very reasonable from what I could tell, looking through the menu. If we stop here again, I will have to try something else from the menu.

The service at this restaurant was lacking. The food was brought to the table, and I did not see the waiter again until he brought the bill. The prices are high considering the portion sizes. I ordered the pasta Alfredo, which I usually enjoy. The first plate had a foreign object in it, which made me lose my appetite. I had to send it back and they brought me another dish, but by then I was not very hungry. I visited this restaurant 2 years ago and had a great experience, but this time was disappointing.

I met a coworker at Runway Grill before taking her to the airport to head back home. The staff was very attentive and super friendly. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad (see photo), and it was delicious. I was impressed, and can see why they have great reviews. Highly recommended.

Always great food, nice waiters/waitresses. Prices are good, too.
