Walt's Fish Market - Sarasota County

Waitress was distracted and did not give us much attention. Food was okay but nothing spectacular. We had fish and chips and the fries were not crunchy at all. Fish was ok.

Theu will cook the fish you caught. Very nice staff and reliable.

I would say that this place is overhyped. It's always packed, busy, and has the longest wait times. The food was mediocre at best, I had a gift card which was why I went and I probably won't be back unless it's free. The food was a little on the salty side and our server was very slow. I prefer Pinchers in Venice or Lakewood Ranch.

A great place for a wonderful (where the locals dine) eatery! We so enjoyed our dinner. First we were served Fish Dip w/crackers. I was a bit hesitant, however, upon tasting I was WOW that's great!! Hubbs began with Oysters on the half shell. I had Coconut Shrimp, fries and slaw served hot, crispy and so good. Hubbs had Coconut shrimp, and Scollops both of us were served large portions both cooked perfectly. Our selections came from the Create your own section. You will find a large selection on the menu. Our server was very busy yet our service did not suffer, she was quick, attentative and professional. Fun place, good food, highly recommend. prepare to wait, however, our wait went quickly

True fish specialists! Looks the part, grt variety of fresh fish. No reservations so try and go off hrs or have to wait fr table.
