La Fortina - San Pablo

There are many excellent options available for lunch or dinner, but I'm happy that I decided to go with the Parillada! The food and service were both fantastic and award-winning. The restaurant is conveniently located near Parque Central.

It's difficult to put into words the variety this restaurant offers. There are several windows serving different styles of food, such as Peruvian, health food, and typical Costa Rican cuisine. I decided to try the American-style barbecue window, La Costillería, which had all the classics like brisket, pulled pork, burgers, and ribs. While it wasn't as good as what I've had in the US, it was the closest thing I've found in my 5 years living in Central America. I will definitely return and am excited to try out the other options.
