Mixt - San Jose

The restaurant is in a little plaza with parking, which is a plus. The restaurant is sparse but nice. We had the breakfast burrito. It was amazing. Ask for the equally tasty hot sauce to go with it. This place also has a great selection of croissants and banana bread. The ones I sampled were excellent. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast for 2 with coffee, plus a croissant and banana bread worked out to only $23. What a find!

I got the mushroom panini and LOVED it. Fabiola helped us decide what to get and she was so fantastic. I’d definitely come back again! Updated from previous review on 2022-06-15

My favorite restaurant in all of costa rica! i’ve been steadily ordering from the most nutritious vegan food option for over a year now and now i finally get to dine in the new and larger restaurant space! #Veganuary

This place was awesome!! Not to get confused with MIXT salads from California. Heads up the location on maps.me (a maps app is wrong (it’s their old location , Google maps and happy cow are correct, in case you use maps.me for navigation. The husband and wife owners are so friendly and helpful! The husband gave us great recommendations, let us sample the juices, and brought us a cookie on the house when they weren’t busy! The wife helped us with taxi/Uber information. The food is pretty damn good, and the price is fair. Small menu, but we like it that way (tough for us to pick with many options! there aren’t many vegan restaurants in San Jose Costa Rica so this (and De Aca really hit the spot. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our dinner, no pictures but we both got paninis with soup as the side and they were very tasty. Oh and the juice!

Flavors, food quality and service were #1 if you like exceptional high quality food at an affordable price you will not be disappointed we tried many dishes and they were fantastic along with the banana bread
