Castanuelas Flamenco - San Jose

We were subject to a scam here. The wine list contains a wine highlighted in bold. I asked if it was the house wine. He said yes. Possibly lost in translation but I now know he was selling me a $200 bottle of wine with $30 of Tapas. Police were called and he protested that me not paying would mean it coming out of his wages. As the metal property shutters were put down before we'd finished dinner and when police arrived it was in several minutes, I knew we'd been set up. Please check this currency conversion everytime. Easy to make a mistake. I settled at $120 and I hope it did come out of his wages. Complete disrespect for visitors from him and the police. Will not go back ever.

Be aware of scam! Fills tab water in used plastic bottles and sells it as bottled water. Food was very expensive and just okay. The waiter was unfriendly and we did not feel welcome at all, so I would not recommend it. However, the interior is very beautiful.

This very cozy and cute restaurant was great! The steak was perfectly cooked, and the sangria was also very nice, try the blue one for a slightly different taste! The staff was also very nice, highly recommended!

This tapas bar have a pretty good selection of tapas and wines, the service is very good and the service personnel will go the extra mile to please you, if you are around barrio Aranjuez in San José, CR don't miss it

Great tapas. This was a nice find, tucked into a small side street. The owner was friendly and accommodating. Great calamari, wonderful iberico.
