Bidra med feedbackIt 's always our go to place when in Maine. We 've been here for Lunch and Dinner. We discovered a few years back and fell in love with the place. The food is so good, both the seafood and the German faire. A great location away from the touristy parts. We can 't wait to go back again this August, 2023. Those who are meant to be here, come here.
German cuisine and seafood in the same restaurant? Yes, indeed. The whole belly clam chowder is excellent and the regular clam chowder is quite good. Some like the lobster reuben and the lobster roll is quite good. Good burgers and fries but we haven 't been happy with the chicken. The German dishes are reliable and worth trying. It is a casual place and they allow dogs on the deck outside. On Sunday afternoons it is very crowded outback with live music and not enough places to park.
Awesome food!!!!! Be sure to check out Sunday Fundays!!!! Seasonal restaurant. Amazing Staff!!!! The haddock is awesome here. I highly recommend the Reuben. They also make great mixed drinks. family friendly there's a play ground cornhole horseshoes live music
Great food! Great service! Owner is a vindictive POS! won't recommend business to him or go there ever! The schoolhouse bakery next door is wonderful!
It is the only game in town. That said the food was great. The table service and the bartender the evening before our lunch was very sociable and we looked forward to lunch today. My real enjoyment of a bar is a good Guinness. Having traveled around the world enjoying good beer I have become a bit of a snob. My understanding comes from the many owners of Irish Pubs and my own experience. Many times I have been treated to a wonderful pint. Many times I have been disappointed due to a bartender not knowing just how to prepare the drink properly. A good pour means full flavor and no bitterness. When I ordered mine here I specifically asked for a slow pour. Watching the bartender pour mine he poured it like a Bud Light. I refused the serve. Apologized to our server and leave a good tip. Once we left we were chased by the bartender who explained that he had been tested by Guinness and told he was doing it correctly. I disagreed. He insisted he was correct. Leaving I was struck by his total lack of good customer service.
