The fish, sourced from Mississippi, is perfectly fried or grilled. For a delightful dessert, don’t miss the chocolate chip cookie served with ice cream. This is my favorite spot for dining out or for takeout. They also provide catering services.
Biscuit's, named after its owner, doesn't have a traditional menu item and surprisingly, there are no biscuits to be found. However, it does offer a well-stocked salad bar, pretty good steaks, and tasty peel-and-eat shrimp. My friends enjoyed the fried oysters, although they did mention they were smaller than anticipated. For those with a big appetite, the Hoss—a 32-ounce sirloin meant for two—can easily satisfy four diners. Unfortunately, the yeast rolls served alongside our entrees were quite forgettable, leaving us wishing that Biscuit's had welcomed us with a large basket of warm, fresh cookies upon our arrival. Offering those homemade cookies could really elevate this rural dining experience and make the trip to Ripley even more worthwhile.
The restaurant has been renamed Biscuit's Steakhouse. They offer excellent food at reasonable prices, along with outstanding service.
All freshly cooked.
