Bidra med feedbackI love the Elk Creek Steak House! The owner is a great cook, and his staff is always fun and personable. They are always busy when we go there, but we always feel like the only people in there! The food is AMAZING the company is always great! The owner's girlfriend is AMAZING, too! Always comes to greet us and sit with us to chat. <3
2 stars for the service. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Online menu is not correct. My girlfriend didn't finish her meal because the quality of meat was not very good and it was over seasoned. They did not charge us for her meal, which was generous. I had a steak cheese tortellini dish that didn't have much flavor and the meat was like something left in a crockpot for days. I read some other bad reviews and couldn't believe how unprofessional the owners response was. The place was dead when we were there at 630 on a Saturday night and I guess I can see why. My constructive criticism would be to change up the menu if the beef is going to be hard to get. I once heard this place was really good, but it looks like it went downhill a few years ago.
One star is too generous....waited 15 minutes for drinks, and left after 45 minutes and no food and watching every table that came in after us get served, we had had enough. Paid for salad and drinks and headed out the door. The send off we received from the unapologetic owner ensured we won 't be back ... His exact words whatever bro, just go . My apologies to Heather, out waitress. I know you were trying to do your best under bad management.
Although our steaks were delicious, (and it was Rally week) the service was about the worst anywhere. I fully understand the demands on facilities being short staffed and under pressure, but assigning wait staff and the system used by Elk Creek was simply inexcusable. When the party of two and the party of four that were seated AFTER our party of four, all were DONE eating before we were served, that took the cake. Something in the SERVICE area is broken here. Great food but leave yourself plenty of time to be able to enjoy it.
Walking into this place it looked dark and rundown but we figured the food would be good as I had checked images on maps. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly. Our waiter got our drinks fast. We?ll that?s about all we got. We waited about 25 minutes with our waiter walking back and forth greeting other tables helping around us. She finally came back about 30-35 minutes in and told us that she completely forgot about us. At this point we had lost our appetite and didn?t want to proceed to eat there. Even though she forgot about us she still charged us for the drinks we didn?t even completely finish. She apologized once and walked away to assist the rest of her tables. I finally read through the comments and I?m sure the owner will find a response to this. But forgetting about your customer is completely unacceptable. I hope they train their employees better. I won?t be going back there again unfortunately.
