Himalayan Kitchen - Rapid City

Highly recommended! eating is delicious. the ambiente is good. the personal and the owner are very friendly and welcoming. I visited rapid city from California on a trip to the national parks. in California, to large cities, we have so much choice of wonderful food from kitchens all over the world. my expectations are quite high. I was very pleasantly surprised. the menu was wide and includes food from the region - including indien and nepal. the service was fast and friendly. the three dishes we ordered were true in style and tasted really good. the seasoned were very balanced. after dinner we came to the owners. he is a very humble guy and was a past in the restaurant business. he had recently traveled to colorado. he even gave us some tips on colorado weather as I went on this wise. they packed the rest for us. an unforgettable part of the trip was that we warmed the rest of the fitting board of my car the next day in the teufelsturm, where the temperature was in the car 130-140F, while we went for the hike.

I and my friend and his children took a camping trip to south dakota and we are a day back after a day full of activities rained and wanted to sit and eat somewhere. we originally went to another restaurant, but the service was terrible, so we decided to go a bit and drive and saw the heavenly kitchen and decided to try it. we were all blown away from the amazing service and the delicious eating. my partner eating Picky-Kid even tried the prawn curry and loved it. hands down best eating and Indian eating we ever had. we are very sad that we only visited because we wanted it the next day. if they ever get in the fast city sd and they are looking for a good restaurant I ask them to try this wonderful place! the workers were also very pleasant.

What a joy! we stopped to dinner before we drove to mount rushmore and it was pure comfort. the food was so great and satisfying. we got the mango chicken for our picky children and they loved the taste so much that they said “we should get this recipe!” they are 8 years old and somewhat picky. we love Indian food and that was excellent. we, parents, ordered the malai kofta...yummy. we also have a veggie samosa and that was also great. the personal is beautiful and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. we would be absolutely back if we didn't live in the whole country. Go and protect this place!

Buffett is currently closed because of pandemic, but they have a very large selection of options Indian to Central Asia with some Nepalese specialties as well as mixed plates to allow a lot of things to try. the menu descriptions are quite detailed and the spiciness level is a question for most items mild, medium, spicy.) prices run from 8-12 for appetizers and 12-20 for meal times and mixed plates which seems quite reasonable for the portion size and skill in preparation. it would be a wonderful place for families, romantic dinners or a good place to meet an old friend and talk about 2 or 3 courses. inside was very comfortable, good distance and light, not too loud, with many beautiful decorations and carved accents. the owners and the staff were wonderfully friendly, accurate, quick to help and very fast to eat preparation. I would definitely come back!
