Bidra med feedbackCame here expecting it to be a fancy place for Western tourists and found a no frills grocery with a few tables in the middle. Dishes are priced at regular Indian prices (20 Idly, 25 Sprout Salad, 100 Thali) Not the fastest service or most organized staff but friendly and tasty, healthy foo. IMO not all traditional India dishes translate exactly to raw versions....Idly aren't fluffy but dense and solid, rice dishes have a totally different consistency... but they're all worth trying.
Everything on the menu appeared to be vegan, but the shop certainly isn 't. So be weary of this. Customer service isn 't their strong point. We ordered an idly and vegetable wrap. The idlys never turned up and when we asked about it they said they hadn 't made a note of it. So we cancelled the idlys (as we 'd been waiting quite a while) and asked for the bill. After waiting again for a very long time, they told us we were to pay at the desk. We were the only customers and i went with my friend who spoke Tamil to them, so i 'm not sure why there was so much confusion. The food that did arrive left a lot to be desired. Despite it being the only vegan place in town, i won 't be returning.
Great place to find interesting health foods, snacks, supplements and books on Yoga, Health foods, Feng Shui, Meditation, Auto-urine Therapy (if you're into that). The food is mostly raw vegan, apart from idlis and dosas which are prepared in a way that is unique to this place. I recommend the herbal juice.
This is the best raw food restaurant in S. India. The food is all organic and uncooked. All grain served are sprouted then soaked. The nut milks are to die for. The food is Indian spiced and just so delicious. The prices are unbelievably low. This place is heaven...
Since I follow mostly raw vegan diet, I was so happy to discover this caffe. the staff is very nice and friendly. all foods are freshly prepared. they have so many possibilities in juice, breast milk, pasta milk, salads and even ilis and desserts. they also have a business where they can buy millets, heirse flocks, spread chalk flour, brain nudels, spices, etc., have to visit for a unique experience and try food that heals.
