A small average looking place. We went in for a late lunch. But happy that they served us. Peas pulav was the most favourite. Ordered copyCat-ing our neighbour table :P It turned out to be really good. Paneer starter was good as well. Chicken noodles looked spicy and tasted well.
Pathetic is the word.Average ambience and extremely slow service so slow that had to leave without tasting the ordered food. Took 15 minutes to get the dirty dishes cleared off our table, that had been savoured by previous diners. Another 15 mins to get ourselves water in 2 dirty cups. Just running on the advantage of being strategically located.(Road to Auroville). Avoid at all cost.
We were hungry and arrived late for lunch and these guys were the few that were open for business. With no expectations we walked in and quickly ordered a few parathas, the ubiquitous chicken and paneer curry and a fried rice. Frankly we were a happy bunch. The food was hot, fresh and quite pocket-friendly. Yes there are several flies, it is quite a basic setup with most items on the menu unavailable, but then order the basics.
A very homely food place while you are away from home. Simple joint in auroville with great food, simply loved the hot phulkas. Must visit while in Pondicherry. Kayomarz Sadri
