Bidra med feedbackThe setting of the restaurant was nice with two bright lights and a waterfall, but that is where the positive ones stopped. our culinary experience lasted 2.5 hours with 2 children. my man ordered the octopus attarsizer and when he asked the waitress how she shared it, it is very chewing and not something she would order. he also asked that his thun fish is cooked rarely and it was brought to the table cooked med-well. my daughter commands the oz. she is twelve and ordered a 6 oz portion with frits. her steak looked beautiful, but a much bigger part without pommes. When the review came, we were charged for a 13 ounce share, who said the smallest part they had. so this was a $80 steak instead of a $40 steak and we had to remember the waitress of the pommes that came 15 minutes later. I needed a gluten-free and milk-free option. the waitress recommended a grilled fish dish that was mixed with carrots. she said I could replace her with another side. I chose spagel that appeared on our bill for $16. we asked for it to be removed, especially due to the steak surprise, and got a declaration that some pages cannot be replaced. we wanted to try out dessert, but waited long after our main course without any attention from the employees we wanted elsewhere. Unfortunately, our family of this restaurant cannot recommend and would suggest many of the other facilities on the island to have a great meal for a great worth in a reasonable time frame:
This restaurant was overwhelmed during the holiday week. Short staffed on waiters, and in the kitchen, they could barely keep up. It’s unfortunate because the manager understands what good service is and if given a little more help could deliver it. The food was overall mediocre. Some dishes good others pedestrian but due to the problem in the kitchen, the majority of it came out cold. Manager made a nice accommodation on the bill so we didn’t leave unhappy but we would warn you not to go until the holiday rush is over.
We came here partly based on the strong recommendations, but we had a very different experience. The service was extremely slow. Took us almost an hour to get our drinks, and hour and a half to get our appetizers and we were nearly at the 2 hour mark when the main course arrived. We ordered the Asian Charcuterie, only to be informed 15 minutes later that they were out of that. The drinks were so strong they were nearly impossible to drink. The food ranged from pretty good (pesto pasta, Korean short ribs to okay (dumplings to terrible (overdressed Caesar salad, salty steak--one cooked underdone and one overdone and room temp, tuna requested rare came well done, side dish was cool. We didn't get one of our side dishes at all. The atmosphere was very pretty, we sat on a breezy rooftop deck. The restaurant had so much promise but it was a horribly expensive disappointment.
They’re trying for something very high end and are pricing things accordingly but they don’t quite deliver. Our steak was pretty decent; the other dishes were just so so, unfortunately not worthy of $44 48 an entree. Great drinks and service and a beautiful setting, however.
My wife I had a surprisingly disappointing experience having a Christmas Day dinner at We Grill Wok. I was advised by the restaurant staff of the mandatory 10-course tasting menu one week prior to the reservation seeing all the great reviews decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the $140 pp menu did not meet the expectations. Most dishes seemed pre-cooked way in advance and were dry not very tasty. After seeing the pictures and the description of the items on the a-la-carte menu it almost seemed as though the chef was absent that night and deferred the responsibilities to someone else. We’re not likely to come back.
