Hog Wild Bbq - Placerville

Hands down, the best barbecue I've ever had in California, let alone Texas or the South. The jalapeno cheddar sausage was juicy and full of flavor, not too spicy. The pulled pork was perfectly moist and tasty. The macaroni and cheese was homemade and incredibly rich. It was probably the most satisfying meal I've ever had. The potato salad was above average and the roll was freshly made. My friend had the St. Louis ribs, brisket, and cornbread with honey butter, all of which were absolutely incredible. We tried dishes we had never eaten before and enjoyed every bite. We were completely stuffed and useless the rest of the day. I want to bring them to my next work event and will definitely be back with my family. The service was great, the staff was friendly, and the facilities were clean. This is the best barbecue joint in El Dorado.

The customer service at this restaurant is excellent. The bratwurst was delicious. My grilled ribs had good flavor, but were a bit dry for my liking. Her potato salad and mac and cheese were tasty. The muffins were too dry. The ambiance of the restaurant is great and the spicy dishes were excellent.
