Outstanding experience. Friendly, down to earth wait staff. Very casual atmosphere. We were lucky enough to get a same day RESERVATION. It’s a small place so I was told you can’t get in without one. We witnessed that as we saw 3 different parties turned away. If you’re still reading this, stop and make a reservation. You have to call, as the web link takes you to the owner’s personal page (a little weird) I don’t know if their menu varies but I’d strongly recommend the French onion soup, the smoked duck salad, short ribs and especially the Sole so delicate and buttery it will melt in your mouth. 3 course meal with wine for under £100. Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. They were helpful in accommodating our children. Only negative was the slightly slow service at times. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area. Kid-friendliness: They were happy to let our children pick something from the lunch menu even though it was dinner.
