Bidra med feedbackScone Tasters were here, great selection of scones, first class service with a smile and will be back
Had fantastic tomato soup with cheese and bacon which tasted amazing, followed by the most lovely honeymoon slice and hubby had the raspberry meringue roulade, both delicious. Waitresses attentive and pleasant to us and we totally will be back very soon.
This is a spot just past the Edinburgh Woolen Mill but across the road on the left side that has a blue sign ' Border Meringues '. There is plenty of seating, the food selection is wonderful and all made fresh. The sweet selection is terrific .
Met some friends here for a light lunch, hadnt been for quite a while but oh boy it was so good ,soup to start was absolutely delicious quiche ,fish special and panini and wrap were excellent .the coffies were first class and sharing two cakes between the four of us was the end of a super lunch. Marion was a delight and so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the food ,someone who clearly loves her job. CANT WAIT TO RETURN
I had a great toastie and cake in here, there’s a huge selection of great looking cakes. Unfortunately the coffee was awful. I didn’t have the heart to complain as the staff were lovely but my decaf flat white was more like a cappuccino and the coffee flavour was awful. It just can't have been made by a trained barrista. I’d definitely eat here again but maybe with a pot of tea or a hot chocolate.
