Patangata Tavern - Otane

Lovely owner and super interesting spot, loved the decoration and outdoor spaces. Good coffee and I love me some sticky pud.

Awesome find in the middle of “nowhere” (it’s obviously somewhere for those who live there . The food is great (large portions , friendly and helpful service, sometimes there is live music of a high quality, the scenery is stunning and all round a great place to hangout at if you want to be around people, have a drink, shoot some pool or tap your feet to the vibe. What a find!

Excellent place to visit . Great food friendly service . Great atmosphere and well worth the drive.

We spent the night in the car park (NZMCA POP site) and enjoyed a wonderful meal at the pub. The atmosphere was fantastic, with friendly locals. We highly recommend paying a visit.
