Century Bakery Cafe - Waipukurau

This is the nicest bakery in town and the only one in Central Hawke's Bay! Their sausage rolls are incredibly delicious and just $2.50 each, while other bakeries charge over $4 for the same item. I highly recommend visiting Century Bakery in Waipukurau!

I absolutely love this bakery! The pies are incredibly delicious, and there’s a great variety to choose from. They also make an amazing Oreo cheesecake that’s simply to die for. The staff is very friendly, and if something isn’t available in the display case, they’ll check in the back to see if there’s any left. I once brought a friend in for a cup of tea, and she fell in love with the steak and mushroom pie, declaring it the best she’s ever had; now she won’t go anywhere else in town. Their cooked lunches are equally delightful. I can be quite particular about my eggs – they have to be runny – but I had the eggs benedict here, and it was one of the best I’ve ever tasted!

Had fish and chips this morning came with a side salad very nice chips are the best fish was tasty with a crunchy batter it was yum best place in town

Always a good spot to stop for lunch when travelling through. Delicious and affordable.
