Cool little hidden place off the coastal highway for salt fiends!

Drove by this place totally randomly. We were just driving south from the lighthouse and had no idea this is where they make all the salt! We decided to stop and check it out. It's a nest and cozy little place, unfortunately not a ton to see. But you can see them boiling water in these huge pots, we heard someone working in the building but didn't see anyone. Stop in to the gift shop! So cool to see where they make the salt. This bay has a lot to offer

Nice little shop to see the manufacturing and smell the salts. The informative shopkeeper told us that Netarts Bay is extremely salty and very clean (full of oysters) which makes it a very unique salt capture point. Parking is a bit tight — definitely don’t take a trailer or 20ft plus RV or van.
