Skipper's - Niantic

Great fresh fried seafood!! Had the clam fritters and fried whole bellies! Fresh and crispy!!

The fried fish at Skipper's was absolutely fantastic! We enjoyed it so much that we dined there twice during our three-day stay. While seafood is their specialty, I can’t stop recalling how delicious the grilled chicken was as well. This restaurant is a must-visit if you're in the area!

After a lovely day at Harkness Memorial Park in October, I decided to visit Skippers, a restaurant that stays open year-round. They are famous for their quick and entertaining seafood platters, as well as a variety of other menu options. I ordered the clam strip platter and chose a table on the deck. After about 10 minutes, I was called to the pickup window and was greeted with a generous plate of hot clams and fries! It was absolutely delicious. The dish came with coleslaw and tartar sauce as well. You can also choose to dine indoors. I highly recommend giving them a try—you won’t be disappointed!

While visiting Waterford, CT, I was in the mood for seafood and decided to stop by Skippers in Niantic, conveniently located right by the water. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but since the weather was lovely, we chose to dine on the patio. The seafood selection was impressive, the prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly and prompt. Enjoying a delicious lunch by the water while savoring fresh seafood was a delightful experience. I highly recommend this place!
